The main goal of the course is introduction to Croatian music for saxophone. Theoretical part of the program consists of the analysis of the chosen compositions and emphasizing te charasteristics of the Croatian Saxophone School, while the practical part will be focused on specific technical-interpretation challenges and pointing participants towards improving their artistic competence and concert performances.

Gordan-Tudor

Ass.prof. Gordan Tudor (Croatia) is a professor of saxophone at the Arts Academy in Split and guest professor at the Art Academy in Novi Sad.  He graduated at the Music Academy in Zagreb (Dragan Sremec), continued his studies with E.Rousseau (Mozarteum, Salzburg), Arno Bornkamp (Conservatorium van Amsterdam) and Claude Delangle (CNSMD, Paris). He has performed as a soloist, in chamber ensembles and orchestras in Europe and USA.

Alto saxophone player of respected Papandopulo quartet and soprano saxophone player in Trio GIG. He is an artistic director of the New Music Days Festival in Split. He received numerous awards at national and international competitions (PBZ, Zagreb Philharmonic Award for the best young Croatian musicians, JuditaMarenstrum-Berlin, Foundation Rudolf & Margita Matz), 5 Porin award for Classical Music, and many others. He was awarded as a composer. He often held masterclasses and participate in the evaluation judgments of music competitions.
