Walk and talk in Salon Galić, exhibition Open Circle by Sandra Sterle for the interested public, 30.10. at 18.00 Utorak, 31.10. Global Curating/A Museum in a school Abstract: In the past fifteen years, Western-type museums have expressed a new interest in expanding their public beyond the scope of an educated middle class. But studies show that despite innovative educational programmes and contemporary approaches to audience-building, little has changed in terms of equal access to the pleasure and knowledge contained in museums. In this light, might it be the right step to take the museum into the school? The lecture will look at practice-based research into this field, which takes its inspiration from a few examples of non-Western museum practice.
